Why Big Lots/Dollar Store are great for frugal beauty shoppers!

Hey guys! It's been a while, and it's summer again which means that I have more time to shop for unnecessary beauty items. Some of the places I LOVE to shop is Big Lots and the Dollar stores.

Why Big Lots! is so great;

I can't stress how much I love this store. I have bought most of my nail polishes that are name brand from here.

Nail Polish brands at Big Lots!
  • Sally Hansen
  • Revlon
  • Magnetix
  • LA colors
  • other brands I can't remember
I have seen several awesome nail care products at Big Lots, they sell/sold name brand scented nail polishes, magnetic nail polishes, peel off nail polishes, cuticle gels/oils, and crackle polishes. These all vary to which Big Lots you shop at.

Why Dollar Tree is so great;

I find some great deals at the dollar tree, even though I would never buy their food items or cheap quality accessories, you can occasionally stumble upon some great brands.

Great brands I've found at Dollar Stores

  • Milani
  • Sinful Colors
  • Cover Girl
  • LA colors
  • Maybelline
  • Sally Hansen
  • Elf
  • NYC

Most of these items are discontinued or you might find them in sketchy packaging that isn't actually the actual packaging, but it does not take away from the quality of the product if you know it's trustworthy. I have found lipsticks, nail polishes, nail polish wipes, lip gloss, and non name brand nail polish stickers, nail decorations, nail tools. ONLY BUY FROM BRANDS YOU TRUST!

Zenni Optical review!

Hey guys! I'm back with a Zenni Optical review. Zenni Optical is an online store that sells prescription(or non prescription) eyeglasses or sunglasses. I thought it was about time to get some new glasses myself, so I made a purchase.

  • The glasses I got were metal aviators for $6.95, and they don't feel any different than expensive glasses you would get at stores like Costco, Pearle Vision, Fred Meyer. etc. If anything they are a little better. It's so much cheaper (and better) than buying from any other store.
  • The glasses are manufactured in China and then shipped to California where they are then, shipped to you.
  • The shipping time should take 2 weeks or less if you live on the West Coast, but don't expect it to be that quick if you live on the East.
  • The shipping price is 4.95 no matter how many items you buy!

TLDR?;

PRICES: Prices vary from $6.95- 45.95

SHIPPING TIME; 10 days(may take longer if you don't live on west coast) They give you a tracking number

SHIPPING PRICE; $4.95 for your whole order

QUALITY; Just like glasses you would get at Pearle Vision, or any other store!

BAD; The only thing I was a little concerned about is the frame sizes, Medium frames were smaller than expected!

Born pretty store!

Hello!  So I recently got this hello kitty nail art plate from bornprettystore.com from a promotion they were holding, let me just tell you now that they have SO MANY promotions! Right now I believe they are going to be giving out hello kitty nail stickers and chanel stickers as well as crackling nail polish (yes for free) BUT they need to get more fans on their facebook page, every fan they get the more quantity they add to the promotion item. More info here http://www.bornprettystore.com/giveaways-information-n-10.html
Onto the plate. The plate is a GREAT replacement for konad plates, and konad plates are soo much more money! Konad: aprox $6 Bornprettystore: Aprox $2 .  The plate is really good, but I was soo confused when I first got it. The plates have a plastic cover that is transparent and you have to take it off before using or else it won't work right. If you didn't buy the stamper and scraper, and you don't want to, then you can use an old gift card to scrape it. As for to stamp it, this takes a bunch of steps, 1. go to somewhere cheap and buy a cheap stamper you don't mind ruining (dollartree) that has the rubbery texture. 2. after you've done that, cut off the design so that its almost flat. 3. try and peel the stamper off of the handle its on and you should see a flat side you're going to use for stamping, if it has glue on it, clean it. 3. now if your stamping handle or whatever is  too big (if its small and circular  and it fits on your nail then skip this step and glue the rubber thing back on but make sure the flat side is out.) then draw a circle that is small enough for your nail but big enough for the design. 4. Cut the circle and glue/ put putty on something it fits on as the new handle for your stamper. 5. STAMP!! Also normal nail polish can be used for this, using thick and pigmented polishes are the best.
